Don’t see your question? Phone the office — Grace usually clears it up right there on the call.
After a figure this second? The rate estimator produces one, or begin by scanning the moves we run.
Are you a moving company?
Yes — Three Brothers Moving is a fully licensed and insured Washington, DC moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crew, with US DOT and MC authority for interstate work.
Your local prices mention crew rates — is $155 or $215 the number I pay?
Neither is what lands on your invoice. A two-mover crew and a three-mover crew are what we build the estimate from, but after the walkthrough we hand you one flat written number for the whole job. That flat total is what you pay — no clock running on the day, nothing added once the truck is loaded.
Can you move me out of a fifth-floor walk-up with no elevator?
Yes, and Hector runs those crews. We carry furniture down historic DC, Columbia Heights, and Petworth stairwells every week, padding the treads and banisters as we go so nothing on the staircase or the piece gets marked.
Who takes care of the Certificate of Insurance my condo wants?
Grace does. She files the COI your building or condo board requires and books the freight-elevator window ahead of load day, so building management clears the move and your day isn't stalled in the lobby.
There's nowhere to park on my block — how do you manage that?
We arrange it beforehand. On rush-hour or narrow streets we pull a DDOT temporary no-parking permit so the truck stages at your entrance rather than a block off, and we schedule the load around the street's parking rules.
Do you carry proper licensing and insurance for a Washington, DC move?
We do. Three Brothers holds US DOT and MC authority for interstate work, and we carry our own commercial insurance. If a claim ever comes up, our office settles it directly — it isn't shipped off to anyone else.
Is it the same team from pickup through drop-off?
It is. The movers loading your truck in Washington are the same faces setting your things down at the new place. There's no mid-move swap, and your job is never passed to a subcontractor or outside company.
Can you pack the entire place the day before we move?
Sure — Danny's full-pack crew comes through a day early and cartons everything, from dishes and mirrors to closets and artwork, leaving move day as loading, the elevator run, and the drive to your new address.
If my closing lands after my lease ends, can you hold my things?
Yes. Our short-term storage bridges that stretch when a closing falls past your lease. We hold everything in our own secured space and return it on the date you name, still at the flat rate from your original booking.
The name includes 'Delivery Service' — do you deliver furniture too?
We do. On top of household moves, we run last-mile furniture and single-item delivery throughout DC and the DMV, using the same trucks, the same uniformed crew, and the same flat, written pricing as any full move.
